River access is through two private access points that make sure this beautiful spot on the Frio River is just for the select few who know about El Rods on the Frio River. El Rods can be great in other ways too, because it offers walk-in access to the refreshing waters as well as two to four-foot-deep points, and for the more adventurous sort, the rock island offers a cool plunge as well.

This really is the most beautiful spot on the Frio River, and it is ideally situated. While only a few miles away from Garner State Park with fishing, hiking, and sight-seeing, those few miles are a crucial
